It is FLF policy that both spouses/partners may NOT attend the Divorce Workshop together.
If both parties sign up for the same workshop, the party who signed up first will be allowed to remain
and the other party will be asked to schedule an appointment for a different day.

Family Law Facilitator’s Office at the location where the case was filed for assistance in responding

An action for divorce (also called dissolution of marriage) can be filed by a married person or registered domestic partner to end a marital relationship or domestic partnership. Along with restoring the parties to single status, the court may issue orders for custody and visitation of minor children of the marriage or domestic partnership, child support, spousal or partner support, and make orders regarding assets and debts of the relationship.
This action can be filed by a married person or registered domestic partner who wishes to maintain the marital status or partnership, but separate and resolve all other issues of the marriage or partnership. The court may issue orders for custody and visitation of the minor children of the marriage or domestic partnership, child support, spousal or partner support, and make orders regarding division of assets and debts of the relationship.
This action can be filed by a married person or registered domestic partner to restore the parties to the status of single persons as if they were never married or registered domestic partners. Certain conditions must be met before the court will consider granting a nullity. The person petitioning for a nullity will have the burden of proving one of the conditions has been met before the court will grant the nullity. If granted, the court may also issue orders for custody, visitation, and support of the minor children of the relationship and orders regarding division of assets and debts of the relationship.
